We’re celebrating our December wedding with a blend of Scottish heritage and Western charm. Think: festive cocktail party meets countryside estate. We warmly encourage traditional cultural attire from both sides.

For inspiration, lean into rich, seasonal tones: Deep greens, burgundy, jewel tones, velvet, satin, or metallic accents. Be bold, be festive, or be the lighter pop of color everyone needs. Formal suits, tuxedos, or floor-length gowns are perfect, and ladies can also choose cocktail-length dresses.

What to Wear

  • Highland Heritage

Kilts are highly encouraged; full Highland regalia is even better. Tartan, sporrans, waistcoats, formal jackets, flashes, brogues, the works! Undergarments? That’s between you and tradition.

  • Tailored & Timeless

Sharp suits, cocktail dresses, and elegant gowns shine here. This is the place to keep it timeless and tailored to your style! Or try somewhere in between, like with a tartan accent.

  • Western Elegance

Formal with a touch of frontier flair. Cowboy hats? Absolutely. Bolo ties? Definitely. Boots? You bet. Think structured suits with boots, tuxes with hats, or sleek gowns with statement belts.

  • Ladies: Gowns or cocktail dresses are perfect.

  • Gentlemen: Suits, tuxedos, or cultural formalwear is great.

  • Please: No jeans.

  • Please: No white, cream, or pale yellow that could pass as white. When in doubt, that’s usually your sign.

If you’re unsure about a color or outfit, send it our way! We want you to feel confident, festive, and completely yourself.
